Recently, the Zhongji Intelligent Equipment Innovation Research Institute (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. held a postdoctoral research project opening review meeting, welcoming 4 doctoral candidates to work at the company's workstation. It is reported that this is the largest single postdoctoral research project opening review meeting in Xiangshan Postdoctoral Workstation in terms of the number of participants and scale.

Zhongji Equipment Research Institute is a wholly-owned subsidiary directly managed by the Mechanical Science Research General Institute Group Co., Ltd. The institute focuses on five technological innovation directions: industrial chip design, advanced engineering materials, advanced manufacturing technology, intelligent manufacturing technology, and high-end CNC technology, in support of Ningbo's construction of a national-level demonstration zone for "Made in China 2025". At the review meeting, the four doctoral candidates gave opening reports and on-site defenses, and passed the review and discussion of a review group consisting of 14 experts from universities and research institutes.

Postdoctoral workstations are the "think tanks" for the high-quality development of enterprises. Xiangshan has improved the enterprise service team's connection system. Through measures such as holding talent service months, on-site services by the enterprise service team, and visits to grassroots levels by mid-level cadres, the county has comprehensively and rapidly addressed the needs of enterprises in establishing workstations. Focusing on key workstation establishment targets, the county assigns dedicated personnel to provide comprehensive guidance throughout the process of workstation establishment by enterprises, quickly resolving various problems. At the same time, the county makes full use of platforms such as the national-level expert service base and expert bridging channels to quickly connect young doctoral talents and postdoctoral workstations, achieving precise matching of high-level talents and enterprise needs.

Xiangshan continuously "upgrades and intensifies" policies for postdoctoral workstations, attracting and retaining talent. Specifically, subsidies of 1 million yuan, 500,000 yuan, and 200,000 yuan are provided to units that successfully apply for national, provincial, and municipal postdoctoral research workstations, respectively. New postdoctoral researchers are given a one-time living allowance of 150,000 to 300,000 yuan; postdoctoral personnel who enter the station and complete the opening of research projects can apply for a one-time daily funding of 50,000 yuan. In addition, personnel engaged in postdoctoral research at the setting-up unit who stay in Xiangshan for initial employment within one year of leaving the station and sign a work contract of 5 years or more can apply for a subsidy totaling 500,000 yuan.

Currently, Xiangshan has established a total of 1 national-level postdoctoral workstation and 8 provincial-level postdoctoral workstations. Eleven doctoral candidates are currently working on postdoctoral research, publishing more than 30 papers in domestic and international journals, obtaining 25 authorized invention patents, and achieving industrialization of many research results, playing a positive role in promoting enterprise transformation and upgrading.
